Matt brings good thinking with a patient focus to our national shame: health care costs, quality, and inequity. His experience and common sense help the general reader get the big picture, and his real-world experience informs a compassionate, evidence and science-driven approach. All very refreshing in a time of vitriol and shooting from the hip. Keep it up Matt!

  3. Dr. Boente is a compassionate advocate for ending the opioid crisis and improving mental health care. He is deeply concerned for people and is a great advocate for getting help to all that need it. Dr. Boente has also also been a strong supporter of our global work to teach hope, and based on our research, it is a skill we can all create, maintain, and grow. We must teach all kids these skills, which are a known protective factors for anxiety, depression, addiction, and suicide. I’m so grateful for his leadership during these very trying times.
